About Me

From a young age horses have been guiding me towards a natural career choice. I grew up with pony club, showing, showjumping, cross country and a wonderful instructor with some fantastic ponies and then later horses.

However over the years my focus has shifted from the world of competitions to a realm of profound curiosity. I have a thirst for knowledge that has led me to explore biomechanics and the art of healthy equine movement. A life with horses is a never ending journey of learning. Each day brings new lessons, a fresh insight and an opportunity to deepen our understanding of these majestic creatures.

Equine Bodywork

Equine massage with fascia release

Horses are naturally designed to move and graze over large areas, our modern domestic lifestyle can often lead to physical and mental challenges. Bodywork, such as equine massage, can play a crucial role in maintaining their well-being.

Regular bodywork sessions can help identify and address any muscular imbalances, tension, or discomfort that may arise from confinement or riding. By detecting and addressing these issues early on, you can prevent them from developing into more significant problems that could affect the horse's performance or overall health.

Equine massage can also help improve circulation, flexibility, and range of motion, which are essential for the horse's athletic abilities. It can aid in reducing muscle soreness, promoting relaxation, and enhancing the horse's overall physical and mental well-being.

Misty Forest Reflection

Seated Acupressure Massage

Chair Massage

We all know how much we as riders affect our horses. If we have a tight back or stiff neck it will show up in our riding and it could dramatically interfere with our horse’s movement. In order for us to work in harmony with our horses we need to look after our own bodies as much as we look after our horses. Seated acupressure massage is the best way for me to treat you and your horse in one visit. You remain fully clothed during your session therefore I can perform the treatment in the barn or yard. I don’t need a heated room. It’s perfect for fitting into your day. I combine pressure with palms and elbows, gentle stretching and manipulation with sound therapy and reiki to aid relaxation and increase energy flow.

Reiki

Human and Animal Reiki

I offer the powerful technique of Reiki energy healing, which enables me to provide effective treatments both in person and remotely. Whether integrated into a bodywork session or offered as a standalone service, Reiki presents a gentle yet powerful approach to promoting healing and relaxation. This modality is especially valuable for animals who may not be receptive to touch or for individuals residing outside of my local area.

During a Reiki session, recipients often describe a sensation of radiant warmth enveloping and permeating their entire being. This holistic treatment addresses the body, emotions, mind, and spirit, culminating in a wide range of positive effects, including deep relaxation, inner peace, and an overall sense of well-being.

It is important to emphasize that Reiki is a safe, natural, and straightforward method.
